Blog Tips

As we approach 200 posts, I've tried a number of strategies to make navigating this blog a bit easier. Here a few tips to more easily find posts:

  • A search feature, "powered by Google" is available at the top left corner. I've found it doesn't index the site as well as Google's main page, so I would try simple word searches, as opposed to phrases, if you cannot find what you're looking for.
  • Recent Comments are listed below the search feature. Anyone can comment, so feel free to post a your thoughts. I do moderate my comments to stop the spammers, so you won't see your comments until the next time I login.
  • The Top 5 Posts are below the Archive, and list the most popular posts since I've been blogging.
  • Believe it or not, I've trimmed down the list of labels (a.k.a. tags) below the Top 5 list. Clicking on any of these will display a list of all posts that have a label/tag associated with it.

I've also realized that some functions might not be obvious to everyone, so here is a list "hidden features" you might find interesting:
  • You can click on any image to view a larger version
  • The icon indicates you are leaving this website, and the link will open in a new browser window. If you use FireFox, clicking on these links will open a new tab. If you use Internet Explore 7, you can right click on the link and click "Open in New Tab" if you don't want a new window to appear.
  • You can view a list of all Restaurant Reviews, ordered by area and date reviewed, on the home page

Have a great Fourth!
