Beach2Beacon 2009

Mark your calendars for this Sunday, March 15. That's when - at 12:00 noon - on-line registration for the Beach2Beacon begins. Space is expected to fill within the first 24 hours, so if you want to participate, you might want to plan to be in front of a computer within the first hour that the registration is open.

I'll be ordering my baby jogger ("The Bob Revolution" - any feedback on this model??) in the next couple of weeks - complete with an attachment for an infant seat - so I can begin training as soon as the little guy arrives. The race gives me the perfect incentive to work back up to my pre-baby mileage and quickly drop the weight that has been added to my frame.

This year will mark my 11th Beach2Beacon run. If you haven't participated in the event - either as a runner, walker, volunteer, or spectator - you are missing out on a special community event.

I hope to see you on race day - August 1st.

The Bob is the stroller I used with my first. I have a second on the way and today was just thinking how good it will be to have someone to push around when I get back into my walks and then eventually runs post baby 2. It's an excellent stroller - I have the rain cover and the thing that goes across the handlebars to hold cups and has a handy key pocket. Recommend getting both accessories.
Good luck!

I did! Registration for the Beach2Beacon is now closed - the field was filled within 2 1/2 hours of registration opening.

The Revolution is amazing - can't say enough good things about it!

That went quickly!

Didn't even get online before they'd sold out. Very sad.
